The Benedictine Foundation helps provide philanthropic funds to enable more than 200 children and adults with developmental disabilities and autism achieve their greatest potential and participate as fully as possible in their community, through education, work and home life. The Annual Fund is critical in filling the gap between funding agencies and the true cost of operating and assuring quality programs and services to those in need. Your contribution goes to work right away and will fund needed projects and program support that has been reviewed and approved by Benedictine’s Board of Directors.
Losing a loved one can be a challenging time. Your gift in memory of a beloved friend or family member can help their legacy live on by impacting the work we do at Benedictine. This can also be a great way to honor a birthday or achievement of a loved one. A gift of stock is a great way to advance our mission at Benedictine. If you have stock that has appreciated in value, you may consider giving securities as a year-end gift. Giving long-term appreciated stock offers multiple benefits. First, you receive an immediate income tax deduction for the fair market value of the securities on the date of transfer, no matter what you originally paid for them. Second, you pay no capital gains tax on the transfer when the stock is sold. To make a gift of stock to Benedictine, inform your broker of your intention and have him or her call the Foundation office at (410)634-2292.
