The Benedictine Foundation
Celebrating 60 years
One Gift, One Memory, One Smile at a Time.
For 60 years, people like you have been at the heart of our mission. As we celebrate a milestone anniversary, we are reminded that our work is rarely counted by the passage of time.
Our legacy is measured instead by the number of lives enriched by everything we have accomplished together. Your support and generosity make this possible.
As we celebrate our 60th anniversary, we reflect on those first students at Benedictine, and the Sisters who found their purpose in caring for and educating children and adults with developmental disabilities.
Today, Benedictine is a multi-functional education center serving over 200 individuals throughout their lifetime, and we need your support to assure the future of our mission.
Please consider giving to this year’s hallmark anniversary Annual Fund campaign. Your donation allows us to realize extraordinary progress in the care of all of those we serve, and we are so grateful.
SPECIAL EVENTS
Chrome City Ride
A CAMPUS COVERED IN CHROME
Our campus is the unusual home to Maryland’s largest classic car and motorcycle ride, the Chrome City Ride, an annual fundraising event that transforms a once functioning monastery into a chrome-covered campus.
Since the inaugural ride in 2001, the event has paved the way for more than $1 million in funds raised to support the children and adults served here.
DC / Baltimore Area Charity Golf
The 4th Annual DC Area Charity Golf Tournament, hosted by Thad Fletcher to benefit Benedictine, is set for Monday, June 21, 2021. The Country Club at Woodmore – Mitchellville, MD.
Spring Benefit
April 29, 1978 – that’s how long we’ve been gathering as friends to celebrate as a Benedictine community. Since that first Spring Benefit, we have continued to host this hallmark event in the spirit of hospitality and philanthropy. Friends, staff, parents, and a couple of distinguished guests along the way, join us for an evening of food, fun, and even some dancing each Spring.

Birdies for Benedictine
For over 30 years, our annual Charity Golf Classic tournament has raised more than $1 million for innovative, comprehensive special education opportunities for children and adults with developmental disabilities and autism.
