Benedictine School graduate Andrew C. recently took home multiple bronze medals at this year’s 2019 Special Olympics World Summer Games held in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates from March 14–21, 2019.
“We are pleased to report that Andrew won two bronze medals at the 3.5 level of play: one in singles and one in mixed doubles,” said Andrew’s father. “He said his toughest match was in singles with a tall young man from Germany who eventually won the gold. But he recovered from that loss to come back and claim the bronze. In mixed doubles, he won his second bronze, with a young woman from Texas as his partner.”

After graduating from the Benedictine School, Andrew went into the Adult Program.

“I worked with Andrew during my time in Delaware and helped him move to his own apartment with another graduate Scott D. Andrew loved tennis and basketball. He was one of the best outside shooters on our team!” said Benedictine Executive Director, Scott Evans.
